Santa Fe Fun

Sunday night we enjoyed a fun BBQ with Aunt, Uncle and their friends Chris, Mike and their neighbor. Uncle grilled burgers and salmon and Aunt Shirl made an amazing corn on the cob. Mike and Chris brought a delicious green salad as well as an orzo salad. Everything was delicious and it was a fun night catching up with Mike and Chris and meeting Aunt and Uncle's neighbor. Olivia was very tired but really hung in there well. It rained that afternoon so we decided to take a walk to the arroyo after dinner - Sofia's very favorite place to explore.

When we weren't out and about, the girls enjoyed playing in the casita. Sofia, ever the horse-lover, played with her horses and made up all sorts of stories about them. Olivia played with her toys in the middle of the floor since she isn't quite crawling yet, but she was perfectly happy. They were both very happy with having the space to play and Sofia also loved playing in the rocks in the driveway.

On Tuesday night, after our hike, we went to a local New Mexican restaurant to watch Mariachi Buenaventura - an all ladies mariachi band that we've seen before and really enjoy. We sat out on the patio to eat and the ladies finally made their way to our area to perform. Uncle Steve and Sofia danced together which was really cute. After, we headed over to the train station to look at the Rail Runner before saying our good nights.
