Olivia at 11 Months!

Our little baby is just one month shy of being one! She's now 28.5 inches and 20.6 lbs. and has four top teeth and three bottom teeth - the third on her right side just came in about a week ago. She still wears most of her 9 month clothes and sleepers (they are snug) although we are slowly transitioning to 12 month size. I'm interested to see what percentile she is at next month's pediatrician appointment since she's smaller than Sofia was at her age. She had her first real illness this past week with high temperatures at night of 103.5, but it only lasted three days and two bad nights, when her fever was the worst, and her doctor said it was a virus. Now she's back to her happy, healthy self. She still loves literally any food we put in front of her and she eats as much, if not more, than Sofia does. I still get told that she looks like a cabbage patch doll all the time! She loves people and getting attention, so I think she may be a social butterfly like her big sister.

She finally started to crawl about two weeks ago, although she really hasn't "taken off" with it. She'll crawl to get around, but for the most part she's perfectly content to sit and hang out or she may crawl to something so she can pull herself up to stand. She has an unusual crawl that involves knees and feet at various times and we think it's because she watches Sofia run around like a horse using her feet and hands. I love that she's now mobile though, since she can get over to toys if she wants to and her favorite is to play with Sofia's horses when she isn't around. She doesn't seem to put a whole lot of toys or things in her mouth, which is different than we remember from Sofia at this age.

Olivia loves watching Sofia do just about anything and I think she is convinced that Sofia exists purely to entertain her. Even when Sofia is doing something questionable to her, Olivia loves it! She loves dogs and animals and laughs, smiles and squeals whenever she's around one. She's also pretty gentle with them.

We lowered the crib to the lowest setting in the past two weeks and added the crib bumper since she is now all over the place when she sleeps. It's great having the video monitor since we can watch her and she really does use every corner of her crib every night! She also stands up when she doesn't want to sleep, which mainly happens at her afternoon nap time. Her 10am nap is like clockwork, but her afternoon nap is a bit tougher to get her to relax and fall asleep and she often naps in her car seat as we are off to pick up Sofia from something.

She's such a delightful and happy girl and although the past 11 months have flown by, we've loved watching her grow and change and look forward to all that is to come.

Who is 11 month old today?

She's getting so big and moving so much - I had to take this picture then grab her as she wanted to crawl and nearly fell off the chair

Standing up - her favorite thing to do now!

She can stand without holding onto something for quite a long time already, so we think she'll be walking soon.

Our two beautiful girls!
