Sofia at 7 months

Sofia turned 7 months yesterday - we can hardly believe how quickly time flies! Her official six month doctor's appointment, complete with shots, was a week ago. She weighed 19 lbs 15 oz and is 271/2 inches long! She's growing up so fast! She has a bit of the sniffles right now, but otherwise is doing great. No sign of crawling yet, but she does stay on her knees and hands for a bit if she is placed on them. She also babbles a lot!

Ready for anything in this outfit!

Sofia meets Uncle Roger

Sofia met Uncle Roger (or Great Uncle, as he is to Sofia) on Saturday night at Uncle Steve and Aunt Shirl's house. We also met them all for brunch on Sunday, before Uncle Roger returned to California (and undoubtedly warmer weather....) It was fantastic to see Uncle Roger and we look forward to seeing both he and Aunt Cathy soon!! Here are some pictures - enjoy.

Hey, what is this scruffy stuff on your chin?!

Sofia's cup of choice - she has become an excellent drinker and now rarely spills a drip!

Hey! Give me back all my toys! Grayden and Sofia playing together.

Grandma and Grandpa Lee

Grandma and Grandpa Lee arrived at Cynthia and Jay's house Saturday morning for a wonderful breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. After, in an attempt to find a hobby store, we ended up exploring a part of Atlanta called Virginia Highlands, which has a strip of cute stores. We spent the afternoon exploring and took a coffee break before heading back to Cynthia and Jay's.

Sofia goes to the Circus

The night we arrived in Atlanta, Cynthia and Jay took us to the "Greatest Show on Earth" and Sofia loved it! It was pretty chazy with lots of flashing lights, clowns, singing, explosions, and lots of animals, but she flapped her arms and smiled through it all (until she fell asleep toward the end.) It was such a fun night!

Flying down to Atlanta

On 15 February we flew down to Atlanta to stay with Sofia's Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Jay and visit with Grandma and Grandpa Lee, who drove up from Florida to celebrate Grandpa Lee's birthday. Here are some cute pictures of her trip down.

Valentine's Day

Sofia and I visited Alice and Grayden for Valentine's Day coffee and treats (thanks to Alice's new espresso maker!). Sofia and Grayden enjoyed playing together, as usual. Here are some pictures. Later that evening, we enjoyed a wonderful (as usual) Mexican meal with Aunt Shirl and Uncle Steve at La Plaza. As Aunt said it best, we opted for comfort rather than romance. I couldn't have wanted a better evening though!

the LAST pictures from California

Ok, so I took a LOT of pictures while we visited in California (see the next three postings). Here are the last group of pictures I want to show from our trip. Enjoy!

Sofia's trip to California

Sofia and I flew to California on 5 February to visit Grandma and Grandpa Fryer and so Sofia could meet friends and family who were able to swing by Grandma's house. The 51/2 hour flight went really well (we flew first class using American miles, which was a huge benefit), and were told by the row of people around that Sofia was the best baby they had all ever traveled with! I must admit she did very well and slept through a good portion of it, and played quietly through the rest. We spent 8 days at Grandma and Grandpa Fryers and enjoyed visiting with Kris, Nina, Sian and her girls, Chuck, Carrie and her kids, Uncle Dennis, Aunt Kathleen, cousins Melissa and Fabian, Aunt Rebecca, nearly the entire Fryer clan, and Great Grandma Marrieta. Oh, and of course Sofia met Max and Maggie for the first time! When we weren't visiting with friends/family, I enjoyed reading in the sun while Sofia took a daily 2-3 hour nap (who knew??) and we enjoyed "swimming" in the hot tub nearly every evening. The trip seemed to fly by and we look forward to our next venture to Grandma and Grandpa's and hope to see even more friends and family! Here are some pictures from our trip.

With Grandma Fryer (Sofia is obviously lossing the "hair growth competition" she's been in with Grandma!)

Now that's a dog!! Meeting Max for the first time.

Max and Maggie. Maggie finally stopped being scared of Sofia and showered her with kisses on her ears.

More cute swimsuit pics....

Ok, so I can't stop taking pictures of Sofia in her swimsuit! She must be growing fast though because what was loose in the shoulder straps a few weeks ago is actually too tight now! So, looks like we will be heading to Target to look over the baby swimsuit section yet again (probably the cutest thing ever!). Anywhere, here are some more pictures of Sofia from this past week's swim class and some random cute pictures. Enjoy.
