On Thursday June 9th, Sofia and I flew to Mississippi to visit our friends Alice, Grayden, and Audrey for a long weekend. Alice has been incredible at running her house and parenting Grayden and Audrey while Joe is deployed and I was amazed at how she juggles it all. They were all heading to spend a few weeks in California and we decided to visit them during their last weekend in Mississippi to spend time together but also to help her get ready to head west. Grayden and Sofia played well together (for the most part) and really enjoyed performing the "bunny show" in the backyard using the plastic bunny rabbit as a prop. Grayden would announce the bunny show and Sofia would walk around and sing, while carrying the bunny.
Meanwhile, Audrey was content to watch Grayden and Sofia and play near them, since she's such a laid back girl. Sofia loved "helping" Audrey put her shoes on, play with her toys and strap her in and out of her car seat. We had a very fun time visiting our friends and reconnecting for a few days and look forward to the next visit together.
