Dancing at Darwell's

On Friday night, we headed to Darwell's for some outstanding BBQ followed by live music outside on their patio. Darwell's was profiled by Food Network's Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" and I fell in love with their pulled pork BBQ sandwich when Alice took me there for a quick lunch just before our other girlfriends arrived in town for the gal's weekend. It's outstanding and has such a great feel to it, as well. We enjoyed another delicious meal and picked out some prime seats just before the music started. Sofia and Grayden had a great time dancing along to the music and after every single song, Sofia would run up to the singer and say "Sing another one!!" After we enjoyed an outstanding dessert together, we headed to the brand new fire station next door for a visit and tour (a Friday night ritual for Grayden).

The firemen were so friendly and were more than happy to show the kids the inside of the fire truck, as well as how they slide down the pole when their fire siren goes off. One firemen even showed us how he comes down the pole without using his hands! They also showed us their state-of-the-art kitchen and I asked them why they didn't just eat at Darwell's every night! I think I would if I was just next door. It was a great end to a fun meal!

Arriving at Darwell's - YUM!
