Hall's Pumpkin Patch

After several days of rain and cooler Fall weather, it was finally a beautiful sunny day on Thursday so we met Michelle and Milani at Hall's Pumpkin Patch. I really wanted to get the four of us there at some point but October seems to be busier than December in many ways. I got the girls dressed in their Halloween shirts (Olivia's was a hand-me-down from Sofia and Sofia's is new from Target but they go together so well), and headed to the pumpkin patch after Sofia made it home on the school bus. A lot of people had the same idea and it was very crowded! We met up with Michelle and Milani and I took a few pictures of the girls before the three of them ran off to play. We've been visiting Hall's since we moved to Texas and it was bittersweet to watch Sofia as she jumped from hay bale to hay bale with such easy when she could barely climb onto each bale just a few years ago. Now Olivia is at that stage and tried so hard to keep up with her sister. After playing on the hay bales, the three girls headed to the hay house and spent a long time inside. Although it's cool and crisp out, it felt surprisingly hot in the sun! After the hay house, the girls headed to the play structure where they went down the slide a million times.

We decided to buy a few pumpkins to carve and we finally found a wagon. Olivia climbed in and loved being pulled around by Sofia, of course. Sofia picked out three large pumpkins and both girls found small pumpkins to set outside along with our new large ones. It was a bit of an ordeal getting the girls corralled and the pumpkins paid for, but we did it. I left Sofia with the wagon full of pumpkins while Olivia and I fetched the car. Then we loaded up our pumpkins and headed off for home and a make up tennis lesson for Sofia. What a fun day!
