Happy Birthday to Grandma

Grandma's birthday was Sunday and since we were on our cruise, we celebrated her big day on Tuesday! After we picked Sofia up from school, we took Grandma to Let's Pretend in Grapevine for dress-up and a tea party! Both girls got dressed up and played before we enjoyed our cupcakes and tea together. I wanted to set it up so Sofia could take her Grandma to Let's Pretend over the weekend, but it was overcrowded with birthday parties. Plus Grandma and the girls had a busy weekend of visiting the trampoline park, going to Chloe's princess birthday party, Meeting and brunch with friends on Sunday. It was great fun to visit Let's Pretend on Tuesday since we were the only one's there and the girls had the run of the place!

After our cupcakes and tea Sofia wanted to walk to the little stage near the Farmer's Market and dance, as she did with Chloe and Lily during Lily's birthday party at Let's Pretend a few weeks before. So, we walked across the street and Sofia danced while Olivia tried to go up and down the stairs over and over. We finally convinced her to walk across the stage first before going down the stairs.

Following our tea party fun, we met CK at PF Chang's for dinner. We knew Connie doesn't get a chance to visit PF Chang's often and enjoys their lettuce wraps, so we decided that would be a good birthday dinner option. It was delicious and I think we need to visit more often! Once home, we sang happy birthday and had more cupcakes! CK brought birthday cupcakes from a bakery near his work which were really yummy and who can pass up two cupcakes in one day?? Of course both girls were very excited to be getting more!

Then Grandma got to open her presents. Sofia drew Grandma a birthday card with Grandma, Sofia and Olivia figures and Sofia saying "I love cake" and "Happy Birthday, Grandma" on it. We gave her a framed picture of her and Grandpa surrounded by all their grandkids which was taken in August. CK also picked out a sweater from Orvis which was beautiful! It was a fun celebration, although a little late and a fun way to celebrate Grandma's last evening with us. I know the girls miss her already! They had so much fun together and I love that they were able to spend some solo time with their Grandma.
