On December 14th, we attended Sofia's school's Christmas pageant. Despite our questions, she has been tight lipped about the entire event, and all we knew was that her class would be singing "Los Angeles del Cielo," which she told her Papa one night while they were cuddling before bed. Otherwise, she just wouldn't talk about the big event. So, while we were walking up to the church auditorium where the pageant was held, she told her Papa that they would be dressed as angels.... So, basically we had NO idea what to expect.
After we dropped Sofia off in the 3-year old room, we found some decent seats and the program started! Each class walked down the walkway and snaked around the auditorium singing a song in Spanish - it was quite an organizational feat given the number of 2 through 5 year olds! All the kids sat down in the seats right across from us and then the show began! It started with the two year olds and soon it was Sofia's turn! She did a great job and I was impressed by the fact that the group included kids from Tuesday and Thursday classes as well, so the entire group of kids on the stage had never actually been all together before! They did a great job and it was so fun to watch. After the other classes did their songs then the entire school got onto the stage and sang "Feiz Navidad" although Sofia and her friend Maggie basically clowned around at that point (which was fun to watch as well).
Getting ready to be an angel
Our little angel ready to perform
Getting up on the stage
And the show begins!
So cute! She and her friend Maggie watched each other for the next moves.
After her big performance
Getting ready to sing "Feliz Navidad"
On the stage with the entire class and clowning around with Maggie and friends....they are three after all!
