Sofia and I went to Bass Pro Shop with Thelma and Isabella to see Santa. Bass Pro is a beautiful store during the year, but at Christmas time it really becomes magical. The store has a merry-go-round, different craft areas, trains, race cars, and Santa. Plus, the store is really decorated beautifully, so it was fun to explore. Sofia and Isabella rode the merry-go-round, then we walked around and visited the fish tanks, watched the race cars and trains and then stood in line for a visit with Santa. While Thelma held our spot in line, Sofia and Isabella sat at the craft table and colored and wrote a letter to Santa. Sofia spent a great deal of time "writing Santa" and covered each line with big "O"s. When an older boy pointed out that it wasn't the correct way to spell Santa, Sofia looked at him, then kept at it.....
Once she was done, she immediately wanted to give the letter directly to Santa. So, once we made it to Santa (Isabella and Sofia wanted to visit him together), she carried her letter and gave it to him. They sat on Santa's lap and chatted with him for a few minutes. After, she told me that she'd asked him for a train set and a pony house....
