Exploring Santa Fe

We arrived in Santa Fe on Tuesday afternoon and were greeted at the airport by Uncle Steve. The flight was smooth and easy and the view became increasingly more beautiful as we got closer to Santa Fe. Sofia read books, played with her (imaginary) ants and hung out while we flew. Aunt and Uncle had a dinner party planned that evening, so we settled into our little casita and had dinner at a local little place. We returned for an early night so we could explore Santa Fe the next day.

Of course, no visit to Santa Fe is complete without a visit to Cafe Pasqual's, which is where we started off our day. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and then walked around town. Ironically, Sofia spent the previous two days running around the house wearing her hat and mittens, however, pretty much refused to wear either or her jacket in the 40 degree (and colder) weather of Santa Fe! We started in the Plaza and walked around window shopping and visiting the post office. We stopped for an afternoon Starbucks before heading back to the house for a nap and relaxing. That night we headed to Maria's for dinner.

In the Baron on our way to Santa Fe. Sofia has her "ants" in the gum container (they aren't real, of course, but she spent days playing with them).

The view on the way.....it was pretty bleak in West Texas, but it became very incredible the closer we got to Santa Fe.

Just after landing! COLD!!
