Visiting the Pretend City Museum

On Wednesday morning Mimi's friend Kris suggested we all visit the newly-opened Pretend City Museum in Irvine. It was such a cool place and even though it was completely overrun with kids, it was awesome because it seemed every kid had their own stuff to play with! Sofia loved it!

Taking off from DFW, Sofia looked out the window and said "Just like Papa's Baron" which was funny since it's just a tad larger than Papa's airplane!

Driving at Pretend City - Sofia drove a number of different cars, since they had so many to chose from!

Hanging out with Mimi and Kris while listening and watching a performer sing various kids songs

Mimi and Sofia getting more money! Actually I think this ATM only took deposits, so Sofia had fun playing with the buttons

Doing a little grocery shopping in the Grocery Store

Snack time! We finally figured out she was hungry after she tried to eat all the plastic vegetables in the garden

Playing on the stage

Sofia visits the beach - she normally loves the sand lot, but this sand was more like clay (Mimi had a good point - they probably don't want sand everywhere!)

At the Art Center - Sofia drew on paper

Playing with fish at the harbor

One of the fish got stuck on her head!

Doing a little reading at Mimi's house, after the Museum visit. That chair was mine when I was a little girl and Mimi had it refinished and recovered! Sofia loves it!
