Our last day in DC

Our last day in DC went by too quickly and, similar to the rest of the week, we were running around the entire time. We said goodbye to Uncle Steve, who had a conference to attend. We had a great evening hanging out by the fire with him and catching up and look forward to next week in Santa Fe! We had dinner Friday night with Brian, Jenny and little Grady (who is growing up so fast), and I'm so mad I didn't take any photos!

After saying goodbye to Uncle Steve, we met up with Carter and Lily and their two girls for breakfast at Eastern Market. I quickly ate my delicious egg and cheese sandwich and half of our french toast before saying a quick goodbye and meeting Cornelia and Sandy for a wonderful baby-free girl's time. We had coffee then had pedicures and tried to decide on a girl's weekend in Texas in a few months. It was very fun to catch up and not have to chase after our girls. Mike and Bahareh dropped by just prior to our departure to catch up and see Sofia (and gave me and the luggage a much appreciated ride to the airport while CK and Sofia took the metro!!) It wasn't Sofia's best flight, but it's behind us......and we had a fun, if completely exhausting time in DC!

Sofia and I met up with Yvette for a quick coffee on Friday afternoon!

Saying goodbye to Great Uncle Steve

Fish! Sofia loves to make her fishy 'noise' every time she sees fish (she opens and closes her mouth over and over - very cute)

Waiting in line at Eastern Market with Papa

Hi Bahareh - come visit us in Texas! :-)

Hanging out with Papa before our flight home

The next morning - yum, donuts!
