Oh Christmas Tree!

On Saturday afternoon we went to the nursery where we always buy our Christmas tree and bought our tree for Christmas. We decided on a smaller tree than usual since it's already so late in the month and we'll be leaving on December 22nd to go to Florida, so we'll have less time to enjoy it but we'll also have less to decorate.

Before picking out our Christmas tree, Sofia had a horse lesson at a stable a few miles from us that had a Groupon offer. She loved it, of course, and she did a great job taking direction and riding.

After our tree was delivered to the house, we started the fun task of decorating it. Sofia was far more interested in taking out various ornaments and playing while making up stories rather than adding them to the tree. We did end up getting decorations up and Sofia was careful to add unbreakable "baby safe" ornaments to the bottom half of the tree. Ironically, Olivia is drawn to the shiny round balls that are on trees around town, but shows no interest in playing with the ornaments on our tree. Finally, it was time to add the angel and CK was able to lift Sofia up so she could put it on top. Our tree is complete!
