On Thursday September 30th, we flew to Washington DC to visit for a week. The trip was really for CK's reunion with Senator Connie Mack's staff, but Sofia and I stayed for a few more days to visit friends and hang out with Aunt (Uncle was in NYC). We had events with the Connie Mack folks both Friday and Saturday nights and Aunt and Uncle watched Sofia for us and had a great time and got her to bed without a problem. We visited and hung out with a lot of friends and hit some of our favorite places including Turtle Park which is where Sofia used to play when we lived on Capitol Hill, Market Lunch at Eastern Market which has the very best breakfast in the world, and the Metro which Sofia loved.
Visiting Turtle Park - our previous house is in the background (behind the tree)
Weeeeee. Sofia and Grayden used to play on this teeter totter, and she loved getting on it again. We spent a lot of time here.
Market Lunch with Forrest.
Yum! The best french toast ever!
Hanging out with Uncle Steve. Sofia has a frog drawing on her face that she got at Frager's Hardware Store's 90th year celebration. They all headed there while I went for a pedicure and lunch with a girlfriend!
With Mike, Bahareh and little Leah. Great catching up with them and meeting the adorable little Leah.
Hanging out with Aunt Shirl while she cooks
Crazy Bands - these are from Frager's and were all tool shapes
On the turtle at Turtle Park. Sofia used to pull herself up from crawling when we lived on Capitol Hill. So, it was fun to watch her crawl all over the turtle and run around. However, she also had a very bad fall one evening and got a bloody nose. Luckily it wasn't serious and stopped pretty quickly.
Spinning! Weeeeee
