After we visited the cherry blossoms, we went to the Kite Festival, which was taking place around the Washington Monument. It was a perfect day for kite flying, and everyone was out with their kite - even homemade ones. There were lots of interesting shapes and somehow we have several pictures of airplane-shaped kites, I don't know how that happened! :-) My favorite kite was a green turtle, but the picture didn't turn out very well. So, here are a few of our favorites!
