Kindergarten Gingerbread House Decorating Party

Today the Kindergarteners had their gingerbread decorating party. A few days ago I helped some of the other room moms make the gingerbread houses by hot glueing graham crackers to small milk cartons and then glueing them onto the plate so the kids' houses wouldn't fall off the plate after they decorated them. Instead of the parties being hosted in each of the classes, all the Kindergarteners decorated their gingerbread houses in the library along three long tables. I arrived a few minutes late so the party was in full swing. The three long tables were packed with all the cute 5-year olds and one or both of their parents. Luckily, Olivia was all the way on the end of the first table, so I was able to get some cute photos of her. The table had bowls full of candy down the center of each table and each student had their own bag of frosting to use to decorate their house.

Olivia was totally focused on her gingerbread house and had so much fun adding frosting and candy. I stood behind her and watched her as she added completely random candy to her little house. I was able to take a few adorable pictures of her as she decorated. She finished her gingerbread house and all the kids headed back to their classroom. The kids all had such a fun time and Olivia's house turned out interesting.
