Three Years of Buddy!

Three years ago today the girls and I met Buddy at a gas station out near the Texas Motor Speedway and he came home with us to see how we all got along....Of course, now we couldn't imagine life without him! He's such a great dog and always so happy to be with us or cuddle nearby. Of course, he absolutely loves going for walks either just down the block where he runs ahead and pees on just about everything and loves to sniff around, or across the street and to the soccer complex where we walk for about 2 miles. He's just happy to be out and exploring. He's the easiest dog to be around and loves meeting other dogs and is sort of ambivalent around people, unless he knows them. He absolutely loves getting up on our bed at night while we read and loves to give a big "huff" when we put him down on his dog bed before falling asleep. In the morning, he has to stretch doing a "down dog" and then stretching each leg off the ground. At night, usually while I'm reading to Olivia, he loves to wrestle and play bite with me for about 10 minutes and then he's done. He still isn't much of a barker and once it's his bedtime (8:30/9am) he is done. I think aliens could land and he wouldn't even raise his head off the couch or dog bed. The girls love him and are very good with him and if they do get a little rough, he's wisely learned that a quick lick directly to the face is the best defense. Then he can go elsewhere while they are still giggling from the lick. He is such a great dog and we are so lucky he's part of our family!

Fuzzy dog

He always goes to drop Sofia off at school and then loves to sit in her carseat (I think so he can see out the window better)

After his grooming - he looks like a different dog

Love this picture!
