Following naps, filled little bellies and the Florida Gator victory, we dressed our little girl in her monkey costume for the first time since last year! My Mom made the costume in a 2T size last year expecting Sofia would get a lot more enjoyment and use out of it this year (she did!)! Luckily it fit! It was a bit snug in length, but looked great on her and was perfectly long in her arms and legs. The big question remained whether Sofia was going to wear her monkey "head" or if I would be carrying it around all night like last year. Before we left Texas, Sofia actually put it on and played for awhile, but then abruptly removed it and wouldn't put it back on again!
Just before taking pictures we tried to coax her to wear it but she wouldn't consider it. Finally CK convinced her to just wear it like a hat which worked perfectly! Then, once we were outside we secured it under her chin and she never looked back! I think the cold (low 50s) weather combined with the light drizzle coming down helped convince her that it was much more comfortable with her monkey head then without! Anyway, here she is before we left the house:
Mommy and her monkey!
I love this picture - she looks like she's growling, but it's actually a huge yawn! This is the only picture of her monkey feet! I changed her into shoes since it was so wet outside...I love those feet!
While Chandler and Mackenzie were getting ready, Sofia started reading her new book....
....so, CK placed the monkey head on her and she didn't bat an eye!
Cute!
Papa and his monkey!
Still wearing the monkey head!
All set to go outside and trick-or-treat!
