Sofia's first Halloween

Sofia enjoyed her first Halloween (in other words, no crying!). With CK still in India, some friends on the hill, Alice, Joe and Greydon invited us over to their house. Greydon is 8 days older than Sofia and they have just recently been smiling and staring at each other. After dressing up our little penguin and lobster (and taking pictures), we all walked over to "Hilloween" which is a little festival infront of Eastern Market on 7th Street SE. There were many cute costumes and kids of all ages running around (or strollering), with face painting, a bouncy castle, horse-drawn hay rides, and a bouncy maze. We met up with Aunt Shirl there and enjoyed all the costumes (there was even another lobster!!). We returned to Alice and Joe's for dinner and to hand out the bags of candy we both had. However, in the time I was at their house we only had a few knocks at the door. We also stopped by Chris and Tom's house to visit. After dinner, Sofia and I strollered up to East Capitol Street where we met with Aunt and Uncle. It was a real scene with TONS of kids and many of the houses all dressed up for Halloween! Uncle Steve thankfully gave away much of the candy I still had. Halfway through the night, Sofia fell asleep and woke up just before Uncle Steve walked us home. Here are some pictures!

Happy Halloween!!
