On Thursday morning we packed up our things and headed to the nearby Broken Egg Cafe for breakfast. After eating, CK, the girls and I got into Connie's car and headed to the Ponce de Leon lighthouse just down the road from our hotel. It's a beautiful lighthouse and it was a perfect day to climb the 213 steps to the top. We paid for our visit and headed to the lighthouse. Thankfully there weren't a lot of people there so we could climb at our leisure which was helpful since it became difficult to walk up in a constant circle. Along the way we stopped to look out the windows and see where we were and how much further we had to go. Before long we were at the top and had a great view of the area. It was great!
We enjoyed the view for a while and caught our breath while cooling off and then we started for the bottom. We started heading back downstairs and Olivia was not excited about going down by herself. So, CK had to carry her down the stairs all the way to the bottom! I don't know how he did it! Once we made it to the bottom of the lighthouse, we visited the gift shop and walked around and then got in our car to head to the farm. We passed by one of the statues that sat in front of a hotel CK and his family drove by every summer and he had to get out and take a picture! Then we continued on our way to Grandma and Grandpa.
