After dinner on Saturday night, we celebrated Sofia's birthday! Grandma decorated the table with a cupcake tablecloth, hung colorful lamps from their kitchen chandelier and added "Happy Birthday" to the back of Sofia's chair! It was so cute and Sofia loved it and was really surprised. Sofia got a birthday hat and was so happy to be celebrating her birthday once again. We sang Happy Birthday and then enjoyed cupcakes before Sofia was able to open her gifts from Grandma and Grandpa. Of course, Olivia just eats the frosting while Sofia loves the whole thing! She got a couple of new skirt and shirt outfits that she loves to wear and fit her so well. She used to love wearing dresses, but for the past year or more now she loves wearing the ruffled skirts with built-in shorts and a character top that goes with it. The outfits look great on her and are very practical too! She was also given the book "The Land of Stories", which neither of us had heard of before but I'm sure she'll love to get reading! Right now she's reading the "Pegasus" series, but once she starts into a series she gets completely focused on it, as I'm sure she'll do with her new book!
Grandma and Grandpa also gave each girl a big sand bucket filled with a new swimsuit, a beach towel and beach toys! They were so happy and excited to be going to the beach the next day after Meeting. Sofia loves the beach and Olivia hopefully does too!
