Easter Celebration

After Meeting, we headed home to prepare for our guests that included Scott, Brenda and Oliver, Brenda's sister Crystal and her boyfriend Victor and her son Brandon, Lyla, Noah, Lily and Chloe. Before Meeting I put the potatoes au gratin in the slow cooker and the house smelled wonderful! Connie (and Olivia) got the honey baked ham and the smoked turkey breast ready and Sofia helped decorate with rosemary sprigs. Meanwhile, CK started making the resurrection buns which came together pretty easily. Our guests arrived and Lyla provided her great salad and also a big bowl of fruit while Brenda brought her delicious flan and rolls. It all came together surprisingly fast and we were eating within an hour of getting home. The kids got their food and sat at their table together then the adults started serving themselves. It all tasted great and I was very pleasantly surprised at the potatoes au gratin - they were great! I think everyone enjoyed the food and it was a fun meal.

While we put food away and cleaned up, the kids ran around in the backyard. Lily, Sofia, and Chloe ended up putting their feed into the hot tub (which is still pretty cold) and then ended up with them being on the swim step splashing and getting wet. It turned into a rather warm day and was perfect outdoor weather. Ultimately the girls had to go change clothes into some of Sofia's outfits since they got so wet. The boys explored and played with Sofia's toys in the living room. They all seemed to have fun waiting for the big Easter egg hunt!
