On Saturday June 30th, we loaded up in the Baron and headed for a few days in Santa Fe! Unlike last year, the weather has been very pleasant for a Texas summer, but that isn't to say that we weren't looking forward to the Santa Fe weather and hanging out on the Plaza with Aunt and Uncle. We ended up renting a casita from one of Aunt and Uncle's friends who live just one street over and it ended up being a great fit for us all, with everyone having their own room, including Olivia in a crib in the office.
The flight there was uneventful and seemed very quick...probably because the three of us girls were snoozing away! Once we arrived, we got our rental car and settled into the casita only to realize that I'd left Olivia's bag of clothes and goodies at home in her room! So, off to Target I headed to buy her new clothes, pjs, and toiletries. Afterword, the four of us walked up to the Plaza - Olivia's very first visit - and hung out. Sofia found "the balloon guy" and he made her a flower, which she loved. Then, we walked to the local pizza place and enjoyed a salad and pizza before heading back to our little casita.
The next morning, Aunt and Uncle came over to "our" casita for breakfast since they arrived late the night before. CK made all the fixings for breakfast burritos and we each made our own. They were delicious! After breakfast, Aunt and Uncle headed out to prepare for a BBQ that night while we hung out and Olivia napped.
Later that afternoon we met Uncle Steve at the public pool for a quick splash before the BBQ. It was very refreshing and Sofia immediately made Uncle Steve her "horse" and directed him around the "arena" to feed him "hay and grain" and visit different areas. After, we headed back to get ready for the BBQ that night.
