Sofia's Final Cotillion: Formal Night!

Sofia's fourth and final cotillion was last night and she had a great time. Again, she went with Frankie and Liliana who came to our house before I took them over to the CTMS cafeteria. Liliana brought Chik Fil A nuggets and I had fruit and drinks for the girls, so they were able to get some real food in the their bellies before going. Frankie and Liliana met earlier at a hair salon to get their hair done, but Sofia chose to have me do it instead. I found a few cute ideas on Pinterest and her hair is so much fun to play with, so I was excited to get started. I tried to replicate the cute hair I saw on Pinterest, but couldn't make it work. Finally, I decided to do two braids and combine them at the back. It looked really cute on her and more importantly, she was very happy. Her dress looked fabulous on her and she really loved how long and flowing it was on her. We'd originally found a really pretty dress on-line from one of the department store, but it didn't fit her so I found another one on amazon that ended up fitting her perfectly. It looked great on her and she loved it which was most important.

The girls had their snacks, even though the final cotillion includes a "real" dinner apparently. We just wanted to be sure that the girls weren't hungry while they danced. We took a few photos before I took the girls to their dance. All three were super excited and headed into the cafeteria, which has been amazingly converted to the dance hall for cotillion. After dropping the girls off, I drove to our favorite sushi restaurant where CK and Olivia were at a table waiting for me. We had a really delicious sushi dinner together before CK headed over to CTMS to dance with Sofia. The final cotillion included a parent/child dance that was supposed to be a way for the kids to show off all the moves that they learned over the past few weeks. Plus, Sofia and CK were able to dance together. The got home and said it was a great night and they both had fun. Sofia has really loved cotillion and was a bit sad to have it be over. She wished there were two more weeks and really preferred the dances with boys versus group dances. It was a great night!
