Periquito Azul!

Today Olivia took Periquito Azul back to school with her after spending an entire week with him! When I picked her up from school last week on Wednesday, her teacher gave her Periquito Azul, his journal and a CD of songs to listen to for the week. Since Monday was a holiday, Olivia was able to have Periquito for the whole week. She loved having him and Sofia was probably just as excited to have him visit us since she has "Gracie" who we got at the zoo during one of our visits. The girls had fun playing with both birds and really loved listening to the music and dancing to it.

Olivia loved making him "fly" and slept with him every night. She loved reading stories with him and holding him while she sang in the car. Periquito Azul even went with us to the Dallas Train Show. Olivia held onto him the entire time and I was able to get a few good pictures of him. She was pretty sad to return him at school, but I bought her one of her own and gave it to her after school today. She was so excited but couldn't understand why she got to keep it.
